More Signatory Goodness : Laphroaig 1998 / 16yo / Signatory cask #700389 – Exclusive for TWE

Time to end the week with another Indie bottling by Signatory sold exclusively on the Whisky Exchange  : and this time  a sherried Laphroaig.  Sherried Laphs are really good fun, and I doubt someone will be able to say they ever had a really bad sherry cask Laphroaig. At least for me Sherry and Laphraoig do work well together almost …

TWE Exclusive: Glenlivet 1981 33yo, signatory Cask # 9464 – Review

It’s really hard to find BAD signatory bottlings, I’ve tasted quite a few, and you can be fairly sure that you’ve got a nice dram when you bought one. I’ve blogged about a few over the years, and drank others, and mostly loved them. A very good IB. So when I got 3 wee samples of exclusive Signatory bottling for …

Karuizawa 1984, cask #3663 (Speciality Drinks)

Karuizawa. the stuff whisky geek, lovers and aficionados dream about (they can hardly afford it nowadays), and even after all the hype is gone, Karuizawas are quite amazing drams, you have to admit that. A few months ago Speciality Drinks (a sister company of the TWE, owned by the same famous Sukhinder) announced it was bottling a cask from 1984, and …

Karuizawa Spirit of Asama–55% abv

So an affordable Karuizawa? what a grand idea! This was the intention of the lovely guys at Number one drinks, and the folks at TWE when they set to vat 77 casks distilled in 1999 / 2000 together to create a NAS Karuizawa that everyone can afford without selling a body organ or a family member to slavery. But how …

Littlemill 1989 – 22 Year Old by Single Malts of Scotland

Not a lot Littlemill bottles out there I am afraid, and every single one is something to cherish. The last one I had was another IB (Kintra) which was nice. This was was getting raving report from fellow bloggers, and seemed something worth a try. Luckily I was given a sample by my good whisk friend Billy (thank you!), while …

Single Malts of Scotland (TWE) Ardmore 1992 , 19 yo

When I was visiting London last month, for Whisky Live, I carried home a few samples I got from Billy my good whisky friend (and a great guy and a true whisky lover). one of them was this lovely Ardmore. Some Rye : Rittenhouse 100 proof bottled for The Whisky Exchange

Either you like Rye, or you don’t stand it. I happen to like that stuff, and though it’s not easy getting them here or for the matter in Europe, I do take pleasure in trying new expressions from time to time. When I visited Whisky Live last week I was given a wee sample of this one by a good …
