Today : Internatinal (World?) Whisky Day , March 27th

Today is the International World Whisky Day, in which we remember MICHAEL JACKSON , the renowned whisky writer, and pioneer who wrote some very influential books on whisky, and sadly died of Parkinson’s disease. As you well know, there has been quite some fuss and discussion in whisky circles after some semi-commercial attempts to use this day for commercial purposes, …

The grateful King granted the Mackenzies with a ‘Royal’ 12-pointer stag in their coat of …

Bruichladdich The Organic (Multi Vintage)

Been quite some time since I reviewed any OB Bruichladdich , and this young Laddie is something i have been meaning to try for some time. Tasting Bushmills Black Bush – It’s Saint Paddy!

Well, yes today March 17th is Saint Patrick’s day, and what better day than to review this long missing classic Irish blend. Tasting the new Johnnie Walker ‘Gold Route’

My beloved whisky geeks, this is a blend. Yes, i know. It’s not a single cask from a long gone Japanese distillery, or bottled at cask strength after being matured in an obscure wine cask touched by the queen of Sheba, but I bet more people will ever be drinking this whisky than any of the past 20 I have …
