A couple of month ago, I was asked by the chaps at MoM if I was interested in making a cocktail using their Master of Malt 8 year old blended whisky, and I happily jumped at the opportunity, so to say.
Normally I am not a cocktail maker, but I had just the perfect ingredients, and a lovely recipe I wanted to base my cocktail on (a recipe by a very talented Israeli bartender named Oron Lerner). My secret ingredient? (apart from the MOM 8 year old?) was a Carambola (AKA: star fruit) liquor made by the very talented an enthusiastic distiller : Nimrod Rosenblatt. Nimrod and his brother are two very unique Israelis who specialise in homemade liqueurs, beers, wines, and even rum! All manually made in very small quantities from the freshest ingredients.
The Master of Malt blog post is located HERE so have a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks again to the chaps at MoM for featuring my recipe, and for the lovely 8 year old generous sample.
